​2023 Show Book Sections 

NOTICE TO ALL EXHIBITORS
Entries will be taken at the Showground Office from Monday prior to Show day.
You do not need to be a member to become an exhibitor.
Separate entry forms need to be completed for each section you enter.

ENTRIES ARE ONLY RECEIVED between the hours of 10.00am-4.00pm.

A maximum of $20 will be charged for Pavilion entries per entrant.

Please pay for entries at the Secretary's office before taking your exhibits to the Pavilion. 
​

Exhibits to be collected from Pavilion from 7.00pm Show day (SATURDAY) or 
the day after Show (SUNDAY) between the hours of 9.00am-12.00pm.
​

Any unclaimed prize money or sponsorship vouchers can be collected by emailing info@gulgongshow.org.au with your name, section and category won with banking details for one week following the Show.
​
Unless other arrangements are made with the Secretary's office prior to the Show, any unclaimed exhibits may be donated or disposed of.

PRIZE MONEY COLLECTION
All prize money will be paid at the Secretary's Office on the day of the show. Prize money or vouchers not collected on show day will be available for one week only after Show day. Collection to be arranged with the Secretary by phoning 0497 742 689.

Located in the policemans paddock with access via the Gulgong Showground. Follow the signs.

FASHIONS OF THE SHOW

Register at the Secretary's office from 10am Monday 13th February. All entrants must be present at the judging 5.30pm Show day.
Includes open, junior, tiny tot and novelty sections ie beset mullet including skullets and best bogan! Best bogan is sponsored by Gulgong Timber & Hardware and will be awarded their own pair of the iconic "SURFER JOE THONGS!"

Young Ambassador Coordinators Ivy-Marie Flanagan and Angela Flanagan are looking after the Fashions on the Field this year with our Young Ambassador Team supported by Hollie Smith and Anastasia Germon.

All entries for the 2023 Gulgong Show Horse Section will be via nominate only, no entries on the day.

ENTRIES CLOSE SUNDAY 12TH OF FEBURARY
Exhibitors will be issued with a number to compete and number holders will be required to be worn by all exhibitors during show day.
All entries, camping and stabling will be through Nominate.

BEAUT ALL VEHCILE SHOW - NEW OR OLD - DRIVE IT OR TOW IT!!
Due to the growth of interest in this section, it will be held in the policeman's paddock. Please bring a chair. Cold drinks and a bbq will be on sale Show day. There is also a free courtesy bus which can shuttle you around the Showground to see other attractions and to purchase food and drinks. Camping, Showers and Toilets available.

RURAL YOUNG AMBASSASOR OF THE YEAR (previously the Show Girl Competition)

AUSTRALIAN YOUNG FARMERS CHALLENGE

Back for it's second year!


The Young Farmers Challenge is an opportunity for a team of four people to complete a series of on farm challenges. This competition is about showing your knowledge and practical skills which are used in a standard day in the agricultural business. The challenges can range from first aid to daily farm activities.

Entry is open to anyone aged between 12-35 years who is willing to work as a team to show their expertise as well as meeting new people and showing the current farming industry the future leaders of agriculture. Events are not to be specified pre event. A safe demonstration will be completed before everyone starts the competition.  

Each team must consist of both male and female competitors.

Category One
6 to under 12 years

Category Two
12 to 17 years

Category Three 
18 years and older
